Trim Fluid

I'm going to check the fluid level on the power trim on my '88 110 Johnson. If needed, what type of fluid do I use...transmission or hydraulic fluid?

The recommended fluid is BRP Power Trim/Tilt and Power Steering Fluid.

The "acceptable substitute" is GM Dextron II automatic transmission fluid.
