Mount the gauge on the console. Mount the sender on the outdrive if it doesn't already have one. Run the cable from the sender to the gauge. Connect +12V (key on) and ground to the gauge. If it has a back light, connect the light to any light terminal on any of the other gauges. The same can be done with the +12V and ground connections. The only gauge that doesn't have a switched +12V connection would be the speedometer.
