Guys hope you all understand I am new to boats. I just purchased a 1987 Four Winns with an 3.0 I/O mercruiser 200HP. The person who sold me the boat was really cool and explained everything in detail about the boat. He did advise me the trim switch on my throttle needed to be replaced because he broke it. I purchased the switch that goes on the throttle and now nothing works. No up or Down or noise for the stern. I am able to jump it from the pump and it does go up and down with no problem. The marina is telling me it is a 20 amp fuse but I am not sure where is the location. I find the 110 amp fuse but no 20amp. Is it by the trim pump, the throttle, or on my deck with all the fuses. Sorry for the dumb questions but I am not good with electricity at all and hate to spend money if it is just a fuse. Thanks guys......

Safe boating.

The attached file may help. The 20 amp fuse is usually by the pump and I guess you are reading the fuse wrong because it probably says 110 volts not 110 amps.

Thanks Farmer looking at the diagram seems the 20 amp fuse is by the throttle somewhere. I will need to probably remove the entire throttle ..

What I see from the Diagram there are 3 fuses. (2) 20 amp and (1) 110. I will follow the wires. Very Helpfull. Thank you

I checked the 20 amp fuse by the power trim pump and fine. Then after viewing the schematic sent to you I assumed the 110 amp fuse that powers the up and down selonoids that are wired to the power trim pump was the problem. I replaced it and all is good other than the pain of having to make yourself into a pretzel to do the work. How do people work on boat engines there is no room to do anything.

So I found the Issue. I followed the power line and was checking for continuity and there was a point where my line just did not provide power. I replaced the power line and all works like a charm.
