Trim Issues on 2001 200HP Optimax

Hoping for some suggestions, I have a twin 2001 200HP Optimaxes, one is tilting up and down like a champ, the other will not move.
I have been able to lift the motor manually, I have also replaced the trim motor and all three relays. Still won't work.
When I press the Up/Down button, I hear the relays clicking.
I just noticed that a small section of one of the wires on the Trim sending unit was exposed but not broken.
I'm gonna order a replacement for that harness today.
Any other possibilities besides the Trim sending unit wires that are causing this trim motor problem?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Out of curiosity, and assuming your trim switch(es) are in the control handle(s), what control are you using?

The up/down button on the side of the motor, also there is no response from button on control handle either.

Do you have power (12V) at the red wires at the relays?

I will check the red wires on the relays this weekend.

I unplugged the switch on the side of the motor, to see if i was getting power from the switch to the trim sending unit (the harness on the Trim Sending Unit was corroded at the connection, and I'm waiting on a new one), but when I put the tester on the green wire and pushed the button down, I got power, but when I tried the blue and pushed the switch up got nothing. However, when I and put the test light on the blue and pushed the button down, I got power. So, both green and blue get power when I push the down switch, but nothing from either pushing up on the switch. Also, I was wondering if the trim motor should some how be grounded.
It only came with the two (Blue/Green) wires. The old trim motor only had the two wires also.

Thanks

The switch should never put power to both blue and green wires at the same time. It should only power one or the other. But if you're testing at the remote harness connectors it could be a wiring issue.
The motor does not need to be grounded. It grounds through the relays. Another thing to check. All four black wires at the relays should be grounded.

No Title

FYI guys, see photo. I didn't notice when I replaced the relays, one of the seats that the "up" relay sits in was slightly damaged. I cut away excess plastic with utility knife, and now everything is working fine. Last year I had to replace the seal around the "Motor Flush" because I was getting water inside the bottom cowl, and it must've gotten the relay seat wet. I 'm replacing the trim relay harness so everything should be cool. Thanks for the help.

That sort of damage is usually caused by a poor connection between the wire terminal and the pin on the relay. Best thing would be to replace the terminals. But at minimum make sure that they are clean and that they are getting a good grip on the pins. I usually use a male spade connector and slide it into the terminals in the plug and see how it fits.
