What can you do if your trim goes out on you while your on the lake? Is there anything you can do to get your motor back up if it goes out while your on the lake? This hasn't happened yet, but I have seen people cussing like a sailor as they dragged there skeg up the ramp. I have a alpha one. Thanks for any help.

Re: Trim Motor Question

You can pull the rams off and tie the drive up. I think that would work! I might be missing something though. Hope you never have to do it.

Re: Trim Motor Question

Given the situation, that's exactly what I would do to get it back home. That's why I always have a rope in my car, one reason other than putting it around my neck...

Re: Trim Motor Question

if its just a control problem a simple set of aligator clip jumpers can be used to get power to the up solenoid primary wire

if the solenoid is bad its can be buy passed but its a bit riskey the pump motor draws 100 AMPS at max load

i would recomend you study a wireing diagram and keep a copy on the boat so if you get brain fade you have somethingg to refer to ;)

tommays
