My trim motor stopped working while i was on the lake...hence the motor is stuck about 3/4 down. is there a way to manually raise the motor so that i don't chance the damaging the motor going down the road?

there should be a valve on the pump you open so you lift it manualy. or take out the cross bolt in the aft end of the trim cylinders and tie the drive up with a rope.

Re: Trim not working, motor stuck in down position

I had the exact same problem last week on my OMC cobra. Find the pump located aginst the transom (inside the boat). From it should be 3 wires - mine are blue, green and black. Disconnect them from the harness so there should still be about a foot or so of cable to the pump. Using jumper cables, directly connect the black to - on your battery and the blue to the +. This should lift it, if goes down then connect the green instead of the blue to the +. This is also a way of checking that the pump is not the problem. This saved me, I was able to trailer on home.
Good luck.

It will be the blue wire for up.

Blue for sky (up) and Green for grass (down)
