I was about to pull my engine when a local precision welder took on the job of welding my Gimbal Housing whilst in situ. He did a good job too.
My problem is that I've lost the sheet I wrote/drew on which has all the connections etc. for the wires I disconnected. :facepalm:
I have two wires from the Trim Position Sender to fit the my Mercathode. Don very kindly gave me the link to the Mercruiser Sterndrive/Engine Manuals but my wires are not shown anywhere, I've looked all day.
One of the wires should have a Brown or Purple sleeve which attaches to the lower right of the Mercathode, also connecting to the Trim Gauge, the other to the Negative.
These are the wires...........they both have sleeves but are Black, not Brown or Purple??
I'm guessing it's the right hand one but because they both have sleeves it is difficult to tell precisely. Any idea's?
