My 1994 Rinker with a 7.4 Merc / Bravo II, has recently developed a trim problem. It has a trim switch on the shift handle, and a seperate trailering switch on the dash. The trim out has quick working all together, ( no solenoid click ), and the trim in works most of the time, but will occassionally quick working or takes a few tries to get it working. It does click the solenoid each time the switch is pressed, even when it does not work. Also the trailering switch does the same thing. It will work most of the time, but occassionally have the same sympton as the trim in switch. Usually when one quits, the other still works. I have yet to both quit at the same time. I'm going to check the solenoid and power connections for corrosion. Any mechanics out there with any other ideas? Appreciate any advise you can provide.
