trim problems

I have a 1989 hurricane with a 115 merc. need to take trim off to check motor hopefully w/o pulling engine. It is a three piston unit, want to know if center (tilt) unit top pin is a screw in it seems to be as it is a slotted on port side. any help in removal appreciated.

I suggest you post this in the Mercury Outboard thread, as it's more specific to the trim on the motor than the actual boat its mounted on. You'll get better help over in that thread.
