trim pump problems

Is there any way to get the motor lowered manually. Mine is stuck in the up
position and the pump isn't working and I need to lower it, Help!!!!

Yep.

Tell us the model and year of motor and we'll tell you how to do it. There are different styles of trim systems and each operate in different ways.

With that system the motor can manually be tilted UP but not down. To tilt the motor UP manually, turn the control knob on the pump fully CW then lift the motor.

Unfortunately the only way to lower the motor manually with that system is to crack one of the small hoses either at a cylinder or at the pump and let the oil leak out while the motor lowers.

A real shortsighted design on those units.
