Trim Pump Removal, 3000 Martinique

Has anyone replaced their port side drive pump? I was able to replace the motor without much trouble but the pump and bracket looks hard to remove as its buried behind the fuel tank. Will be more accessible with deck removed - is the deck hard to take off?

Problem solved...Used rubber washer as a damper and didn't realize that the holddown screws provides the ground!
