Trim pump tread size

1989 mercruiser trim pump

Anyone knows the tread size for taping the in and out oil connector on the trim pump?

If your pump has the brass fittings the the hoses go into ,then it`s called ne eighth pipe tap (1/8 NPT).The pump body itself: replacement.

No brass fitting

The original trim hose connects directly into original pump body.

Let me see if I understand you correctly.

Taping the body of the pump is not possible?

No, because the fittings are not a straight thread, The end of the fitting mates to a lip for sealing similiar to hyd. fittings.
