Trim question

I just bought a new aftermarket trim unit for my 1990 90 hp merc single ram system. The new after market trim motor came with:
Motor and reservoir
4 stainless bolts
gasket
fill plug
and three different link hex pins

My question is what are the three different length hex pins are for?

Tilt Trim Motor For Mercury Mariner Force 40-125 HP Single Ram 2 Wire I got this trim motor for cheap so I figure I would try it, but you can see in the picture the three shafts, What are they for?

That one motor fits five or six different pumps. You pick the shaft length that fits.
