Since you had two theads going not sure if you responded to this question..were you measuring the sender with the wires coming from it not connected to anything?

If that was how you were measuring it, the sender is bad. Those commonly go bad in the same way yours is. I have had one go bad the same way as well.

Personally, the next time mine goes out, I will not be replacing it.

The sender is a variable resistor, from your video it looks bad. Without seeing exactly how you hooked it up (you grounded it? how?) there is no way to tell for sure.

BTW insulting another member of the forum openly is against the rules and in extremely poor taste for someone looking for help.
