So I've been scratching my head on this and am kind of lost now. Boat is an 88 Four Winns with a 3.0 Mercruiser with an Alpha One sterndrive. I've been chasing around an issue with the trim. Down and trailer work, but up trim does not. I figured it was the switch but after testing all seems fine. I had checked the trim limiter switch (starboard side) and it looked ok aside from snapping the bolts off.....what confused me was that it's just a cover with 2 wires in it. See the attached pic. The other side has a full normal switch like the ones I have seen online and in video's. My boat does not have a trim gauge. From what I have seen, it seems the starboard side one is for the gauge....is this why I have nothing over there....and assuming this, the switch on the port side would be the one most likely bad and causing my trim issue. Sound right?
