Trim switch problem

Ok, trim worked last summer. This season I put in a new rack steering system, put in battery, started engine(3.0 mercruiser) tested all belts, hoses, etc. Ok, the trailer trim works and the trim down works but when I go to trim up it doesn't do nothing, no motor sound or anything. Where do I start to look? Maybe a wire disconnected or something.... thanks!!

ok, checked again and when it is half-way trimmed and go to trim down all the way and then go to trim up, it will go half way and stop....so does the trim limit switch need to be replaced?

Re: Trim switch problem

lol it prevents you from raising it all the way. To raise it all the way press the trailer switch! (see my first post)

Re: Trim switch problem

My trim up only works when its in the water. Weird I thought. If I am on the trailer, I have to use the trailer button to raise it at all.

But get it in the water and all 3 work.
