Trim system wireing question

Discovered a problem with the trim up function yesterday.Trim down works fine , trim up was working intermittently. If I press the button enough times eventually it will catch for a second.Took the cowl off and checked the sky blue/white wire{ up relay } and the snap plug is loose.I tried clamping down on the female end with pliers to tighten but apparently this is not the shapeable/bendable type metal connector.I'm thinking maybe the male end is just worn down? How do I re-connect this? Just cut the male end off and put a new one on? There's also a black insulating sleeve toward the end of the male connecter.

if you cant spread the end of the male one a bit, replace it,problem sounds more like a bad switch though

Well I held the two snaps together tightly and it worked fine , also when i hit the up switch I can hear the click at the relay , so I believe the switch is good. The snap connector is very loose , it just slides out freely if I insert the male into the female end.

So what your saying is I may be able to clamp down on the male end with pliers so it re-shapes it a bit?
