Trim tab positioning

My boat is a 4.3m Savage runabout with an Evinrude 70 and a Yamaha 2.5 trolling motor. If I decide to fit some trim tabs, the portside tab will have to be mounted immediately in front of the trolling motor. can anyone see any disadvantageous to this situation please, apart from the possibility of the tab being hit by the trolling motor when lowered. Thanks.

My 24 wide by 12 cord tabs are in front of my kicker and they do not come to hitting my kicker. However the kicker is mounted on a motor lift brackit.
