Trim-Tabs BIGGER wakes

I recently bought a 2003 stingray due to a 13 year old son,gitting me hooked on wakeboarding.We are looking for a bigger wake with out fuilling the boat with water just wondering if anyone knowes if tabs will help..............................thanks Randy@Son in NC

They do make a single tab for generating wake. I've only seen it on wakeboard boats though because it goes right in the center of the hull (where the outdrive drops down to). I would think that if you got manual trim tabs, like Bennett, then you could run them in the down position and generate more wake.

Tabs will inprove you abilty to hold good wakeboard speeds BUT generaly make a smaller wake as the boat is more level with the tabs

It is catch 22


Generaly you need a line with the lenth adjustment loops in it so you can adjust the line to big spot in the wake

Which i would not allow unless you can get him to a school for the proper training WHICH is much cheeper than the ER BILL

Well if you want a bigger wake you can always invite some of his friends over... other then fat sacks of sand bags this is the best way to increase it.

Lots of people also use lead. However, you have to take the lead/sand with you and trailer it which costs lots of gas. Also with fatsacks- if you start to take on water you can temporarily offload a lot of weight quickly if needed.
