I've got a perplexing scenario...as the title indicates I have a CMC PT-130 trim/tilt bracket that works great.
Except while the rig is planed out?
As we all know most of the advantage of tilt/trim is to be able to adjust while on plane to achieve top speed and avoid ventilation.
I have blown three 20 amp inline fuses within the past two weeks, so I switched to a 30 amp. It wasn't blowing the fuses while on the trailer or while anchored. Now it doesn't blow the fuse but also won't work unless the boat is at "no-wake" speed.
My guess is that while the OB(80hp Merc) is running the amount of force required is much greater and that's the issue...but this unit is rated for 7800lbs of thrust so that should not be an problem.
Any ideas?
