Hello,

My tilt / trim system is leaking fluid, as you can see in this pic:

I need to remove the guide rod, but its almost impossible, anyone has any tip / advice to remove it.

Where do you think is the problem?, the guide rod?, O-rings?, the gasket?.

thanks in advance.

Hi,
I have looked the attached picture which was not so clear of the oil leakage.
usually the oil leaks from the outer steel rod surroundings. If the body is leaking no choice. If leaking from the two rods replace the trim seals it comes as a set, i mean pair.
It needs special tool to replace it. If you are confident you can use a punch to open. Only open if you are sure to remove with punch and hammer otherwise dont take risk. new jack $ 3500+
