Hi Guys,<br /><br />I have a 1979 70hp Evinrude on my 15ft half cab.<br />Yesterday i reconnected the battery for my electrics etc as i removed it for a few weeks during winter, when i connected the battery my tilt/trim motor actually started to run without me using the up/down switch, this has never happened before and this switch was only installed about 6 months ago, where would be a good place to start my diagnostics, thanks in advance for any help given.<br /><br />Regards<br /><br />Eddy

Eddy... The place to start is to disconnect the power supply to that PTT switch. If that causes the problem to cease (PTT motor stops running), the switch is faulty.
