I suspect the relay's to be blame for my trim woes. When trimming up or down the 50 amp fuse on the breaker panel on the riser will sometimes trip and need resetting. It may take 5 mins or so to "snap" to reset the breaker.
Other times the trim will stop working and not trip the breaker. With the trim not working there is a audible "clicking" (not a constant clicking, just when I press the buttons) at the trim motor. I have waited as few as 2 mins up to 5 mins continuously pressing the up and down trim buttons before it just starts working again.
Also, the breaker on the front of the riser that trips will take a few minutes after "tripping" before I can reset it.
I have not started "acting" on these symptoms, just running through scenarios in my head. I have not tested the relay's with a volt meter. I have checked the inline 10 amp fuse at the trim motor and it is good. I have visually inspected all wiring around the trim motor and all is well, all connections are also proper.
I recently purchased this boat (2 months) and I have had this problem all along.
Thanks in advance for input.
