Re: trim up issues???

However giving me more than optimal makes a lot sense especially when loads will change and she is an open bow...might make another adjustment for 3 to 4 inches more than current

Actually you want significantly more than optimal, because optimal trim changes significantly every time you go out, just turning from going into the wind to going with the wind will require trim changes, or if someone changes seats ect. Are you talking about 3 or 4 vertical inches, from the ground??? That is not the correct way to measure the trim range, see above.

Started to get some responses back from 2 of the marinas, looks like for around 5 bills my gauge isn't going to work!

The bellows were replaced 2 seasons ago and look good still. Maybe next time they get replaced I will have the sensor replaced. Makes no sense to do now...

I meant lenght of the ram. She is still collapsed pretty far.

After reading all of this I will go 20.75

You might be able to get your sender working again. The older style senders were wire wound resistors with a contact arm that moves across them in relation to your trim position. Don't know when they changed to the newer style, but you might be able to take it apart clean it up and get it working again. Just be careful when disassembling. You have nothing to loose right;). Good luck.

I too waited to replace mine till I had to do bellows...no sense in going in there twice, it can turn into a big job....when it is time, try doing it yourself, just be patient....Once everything is off it's a couple screws per sender and running wires into the boat.....and ya, don't extend your rams farther than spec...gotta remember there's a UV joint in there that can bind up.

So went out tonight to check measurements of hydrolic rams. Wow, the adjustment out I made lastnight before I knew the 20.75 length was exactly where it was supposed to be. I measured it three times because I didn't believe it. Down up down up measured again....perfect! I must have known hehehe
