Trim will go down not up IO Volvo Penta

Bilge pump went out and we received lots of rain, causing parts of the engine to be submerged. I replaced the starter on a 02 Volvo penta 5.0 GXI and got everything going except now the trim works only going down and just clicks when trying to go up. Assuming it’s a bad wire, but electrical is not my forte. I am illiterate when it comes to electrical work besides changing fuses. Any help would be appreciated.

Will it go up if the trailer button is pressed?

If not, look for the Blue/White wire on the relays. Need 12V on the Blu/Wht wires when up is pressed. Can swap the relays to see if the problem moves to down

If it does go up with trailer button, then its the limit switch on the drive

I would check all the terminals on the trim relays it’s possible they got wet & the one not working got corroded. Might have to take ‘em apart clean the terminals with contact cleaner or fine sandpaper if really bad. The blue wire is up & the green wire is down….
That or the relay might be bad. They can just fail or corrode internally.
