Your book doesn't cover his set-up. He has the old style trim sender, an hydraulic ram mounted on the inside of the transom. Your book only covers the new style gimbal ring mounted sender and switch.....

My 1988 book goes back to 1964. I think it's got both systems covered, but your doing a great job for him. Keep it up.

Sorry, I interpreted that as saying your book only covers engines from 1988...

If your book says Seloc or Clymer on it, throw it away. Too many mistakes.

You need the OEM manual, Chris gave you a link to download it up in reply #7, you just have to click on the word "here" in the second line.
