I need to replace my inner hub seals but I have no idea what size to purchase. Tie-Down Engineering is the OEM but their website is a little fuzzy as to which seal fits my trailer. 2 Questions:

1) How do I find the correct size (and corresponding part number) without taking the darn thing apart?

2) Can I purchase an aftermarket seal (ie NAPA, Autozone, etc.) instead of going thru Tie Down Engineering or a local marine shop? Reason being, the nearest marine shop is closed on Sunday's.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Triple Lip, Spring-Loaded Oil Seals

Make and model of the trailer will likely not be of much help although NAPA does have some pretty good cross reference books. What is more important is the axle capacity. If you have a 3500# axle the triple lip seal, or a double for that matter can be cross referenced from the standard seal number posted in the listing in the sticky at the very top of this forum.
