Looking at getting a 40lb thrust electric motor, should be fine for the weight of the boat but I am not sure as to how long a battery might last between charges. Granted it would depend upon size of battery just looking at average times

When you get your motor be sure to get a maximizer
equiped motor. When running at intermeadiate speeds it will add 20 to 30% run time.
Batteries typically come in three popular size
Groups 24,27 and 31.The 27 and 31 will give you a little more run time over the 24.Ballpark run time would be 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

I got bout 2 hours off my trolling motor when I ran it on a full battery. Just a pain I think. It was a newr battery too but I do not remember the size.

ALWAYS charge your battery when you're done using it and USE a battery maintainer (tiny 1.5 amp automatic charger) while the batt. sits...........otherwise, sulfating begins, battery life is shortened. Good quality battery should last you about two years before you notice any degradation of ampacity unless your one of these guys that fishes every other day.
