Trolling Motor Mounts--Interchangeable?

My Evinrude bow mounted, foot-controlled 55 lb thrust mounts with two circular discs that slide into two short mounting sleeves on the bow. A thumb screw then holds it all in place.

If I buy a Minn Kota, Motor Guide or other brand, will I have to discard those "discs" and redrill for new mounting?

I thought someone had said these brands were all interchangeable somehow, without having to redrill the mounts.
