Trolling motor parts and pieces

Anyone know where I can get just the motor itself?<br /><br />I had to make a custom length shaft on the trolling motor I have now, but the motor is a bit small (17 lb. thrust)<br />I would like to get a 50 lb. or so, but I don't need to buy the whole thing.<br /><br />Anyone know where I can get just the bottom part (motor and housing etc...) ?<br /><br />Thanks,<br /><br />H.

Not a good idea, Homerr.<br /><br />A 50lb thrust motor will draw at least 300% of the current that your 17lb motor does.<br /><br />Switches, wires and any control circuitry would be fried almost immediately.<br /><br />To get any useful operating time from a battery a 50lb. motor would require pulse width modulated power control as well.<br /><br />A trolling motor system needs all components matched to the requirements of the system.<br /><br />Sorry.
