Hi Guys,
I want to have a quick disconnect for my transom mount trolling motor. My battery is in the middle of the boat and I want to install a plug closer to transom.
I am having a problem locating proper plug for trolling motor int he marinas nearbuy. I have priced one for US and it is close to 130 bucks delivered

The question is, is there a "big box store" plug that i can use and it will handle 50A of current? Searching the forum I have found one post where household type plug was mentioned, but I am not sure if this can be done......

Re: Trolling Motor Plug

Here in the US auto stores have a small 50 amp plug set that is made of grey plastic for $9.00 to $11.00 Standard is the manufacture.
I use them on everything. I would not push 50 amps through them continuous but they are fine for trolling motors.
