Trolling motor running backwards

I just installed a 24 volt motorguide and everything works great on it, except it spins the wrong way. What can I do to get it to work correctly?

Sounds like your wires are crossed. Check that red goes to + and black to -.

I'll check that, the only thing is that the previous trolling motor worked right and the only thing that has been changed was going from the previous 12/24 motor to the straight 24 and then wiring the plug onto the new motor.

It sounds like the plug was wired on backwards.
