I have an older motorguide trolling motor. The foot pedal is significantly stiffer than I would like. Is there any way to lube these(cables, shaft, etc.) or is there any replaceable parts that can help with this?

Check the foot pedal for a tension adjustment screw. Probably around the front of the control.

I don't think so...do you suspect corrosion or dirt or something, or are ya looking to reduce the normal amount of resistance? I find that I have better control if my shinbone is totally vertical & right over the hinge of the pedal, if that makes sense, vs. sitting with foot extended.

you might try www.mikesreelrepair.com they carry T/M parts & have schematics on most of the MG's & MK's, also a forum.

I agree with jtex. I have raised my seat so that I can do as he says. Makes a tremendous difference.

Hey J, had any rain your way? LMAO

I'm NE of Dallas and don't need to go to the lake to fish. Just swim out to the boat (from the house), climb in, fire her up and go. Grin.

Man after the drought of the last two years, this monsoon is something else.

One thing for sure. "The Old Farmers Almanac" (has a web site) hit the weather dead-nuts on. I farm and needed weather info to plan the crop and they have been extremely accurate from way back in January when I started planning.

Now I hope they stay with it as the second week of June I need to do some hay harvesting and it needs to dry up first. They said it would be sunshine all week. We'll see.
