My dock is approx. 100 yards up a shallow, muddy channel. Using my I/O churns up lots of mud and, for a short distance, requires the drive to be raised into the trailor position ( very bad - I know
)
While participating in another thread it was suggested that I use a trolling motor.
My boat is a 20ft Cuddy weighing 2700 lbs dry.
As I have no experience with trolling motors my questions are -
will an electric trolling motor be suitable for the task of moving this boat approx 100 yards along a sheltered channel and, if so, what thrust power would you recommend.
