I am looking at a 2005 Trophy 1902WA with a 4 cycle 115 hp Merc. I notice that the 2005 model is about 668 lbs heavier than later years. Does anyone have info on cruising speed. max speed, and fuel consumption for the 2005 with the 115 hp?
Not sure about speed but I can tell you the fuel consumption won't be good by any means.... but fuel economy isn't a concern with outboards as they all drink fuel. Lots of variables but still just not fuel efficient beasts.
Fuel consumption will be about 10% of the horsepower when running at wot.(wide open throttle)
regardless of the boat its on.
About 11 gph(gallons per hour)Of course it would be less at reduced speed.
Later models are only 7' wide instead of 8. Would seem 3600 lbs is a real load for a 115.
