Since the last update there must have been a change made and can't figure it out.

When I make a post with a picture pasted from photobucket there was a img. code inserted in the text box as it does now. I could edit a picture by that code in the text box after it was posted. Now after I post a picture and try to edit it no img. code appears in the text box, just the picture so how do I edit this?

Click the Source symbol and click it again when done editing. You might have cursor along the line of code if it's long because it doesn't wrap after clicking Source.

Didnt we cover this w making sure to put a hard return at the end of the text you type

And after each image

That way you can SEE that the cursor is right before a pix (so you can hit the delete key) or just after the pix (so you can hit the backspace key). Or just use the mouse to highlight the pix (on my phone, laptop and desktop its highlighted blue) and hit either backspace, delete or use the right click to get a drop down cut/paste menu to cut the pix out.

I know I gave the same advice to someone, if not to you, then oops, its late :)

EDIT: or use GAs method

I just type

followed by the link to my picture

and then add the at the end

Can't get simpler than that.

From what I've just seen is that I have to be in the advanced editor in order to see the code. Is this correct? Didn't have to before.

Yep Advanced Editor.

When you first paste the IMG code before posting, it can be edited. After posting all you'll see is the pic, so the Adv. Editor is needed to change the string. I fudged the IMG code in the top line below, but when editing the actual pic, you need the Source button to change the code.

The IMG code was pasted 2 times, the top after pasting fudged one and the unmodified one that is showing the pic.

Thanks GA, before the last update I didn't need to be in the advanced editor to see the code string and then be able to delete an image or add a break between 2 pictures. So I do understand now that the advanced editor is needed to see the code string.

A little slow here on the learning curve but I'll get it eventually. Sometimes it's just almost impossible to break old habits! Or is it just tat simple minds do simple things. :faint2: :D

To add a break between pics you can do that without using the advanced editor. Just click the Edit button and move the cursor to the side of the pic, left click the mouse and hit Enter. That puts a break between pics. It might take a couple of tries to see exactly where to put the cursor, but it will be on either side of the pic.

Same for deleting a pic. Move the cursor to the right side of the pic to be deleted. left click and then click the Backspace key. The pic disappears and is gone.

If things get messed up, you can use the Advanced Editor to Undo. The Undo/Redo(UnUndo???) buttons allow undoing or redoing the last several changes. Or Cancel the edit, but you have to start all over with the edit.

And one more thing. When writing the post and adding pics, click on Preview. That lets you see how the post looks before doing the actual posting. That can save doing any edits if it looks right before posting.

Now you're an Expert. :D

I seriously have been making an attempt to use the preview since the last update and it has helped.
The last picture I posted and didn't look right I now believe it was the way I saved the picture from MS Paint. That too was something that I'd never tried before. Wasn't perfect but it worked.

I thought the red and blue MS Paint pics looked OK. Bonz. It was the paint job that was so-so. LOL
