When my secondaries open (edelbrock carb) under full throttle I notice hesitation then it will go away and then come back. I took off the flame arrestor to look at it and that's when I noticed on the secondaries, one of the jets it kinda spitting and pouring out fuel sporatically. It's not spraying like the other 3 are. Is this a simple fix?

Problems like that are usually solved with a carb overhaul.

Re: Trouble with carb

Where does the inline fuel filter go, between tank and fuel pump or fuel pump and carb?

Re: Trouble with carb

What type of in line filter are you referring to? I hope it's not one of those plastic automotive type. You should use a Racor style fuel and water separator which is installed between the tank and the fuel pump.

I don't really have any area that I can mount it to. Can it be mounted in the bilge on the side? That would put it much closer to the fuel pump versus the tank.

You can mount it just about anywhere you need to. The less bends in the fuel hose the better, and no tight bends. I would keep it away from voltage sources, high enough in the bilge so it doesn't get wet if you have standing water in the bilge, and where access is not a pain in the azz.
The straightest shortest rout is the best.

Okay, I need to replace the fuel line that goes from the tank to the fuel pump, not sure of the exact size but can I replace it with fuel line that you can get at any auto parts store, or does it need to be marine grade?

Re: Trouble with carb

You shoud use USCG Type A1 marine fuel hose, barbed fittings and 316 stainless steel clamps.

Do you where I can purchase one? And does it matter if I change diameter from the existing?

Re: Trouble with carb

After I mount the water/fuel separator, do I still need to install an in line fuel filter? Or is the one enough?

Re: Trouble with carb

One fileter should be good and your jets are either gummed up or plugged with debris. You can dissassemble the carb, clean it and blow the clogged jet out with compressed air to remedy your problem.
