I hit them with a 5500 psi pressure washer, with a fine tip (cuts the paint off, and etches the cement, almost a waterjet!) That will blast all loose enough scale off, and if housing is too thin it blows through it to. Acid etching I have never done, but seems more than needed. Maybe just fish around the pasages with a stiff wire, and then hose em out

Thanks Failproof. I do have another Q. Im trying to find the right lower shift cable and Im kind of confused on which one it is. Its a alph1 gen1 4.3 mer. Thanks for any info you guys can give me.

Alright guys so I cleaned up the risers and manifolds,reassembled it and started her up on the muffs and the starboard side is still pretty hot. is this cause its on muffs?
