trs info needed

i have a 76 23' thunderbird with 255merc and a trs out drive, keep getting water in the trans had the cooling tube pressure tested(ok)had the driveshaft seals replaced,the bellows were also replaced, so i was wondering if there is another way for water to get into the tranny?

I've had the same problem recently. Discovered that it is getting in from the outboard side through a hole in the bellows and finding its way past the transmission seal. I've been waiting for three weeks now --- mechanic having a difficult time finding a reliable diagram and parts. I'm interested to know how your problem was resolved.<br /><br />jonmac

not really - I'd inspect the bellows carefully, sometimes there is a crack visible on certain angles only (even if they are brand new) but when you turn the drive it opens up.<br />I had a similar problem.
