truck motor vs marine motor

Have a 19' cobalt with 350 motor out of truck in it. Bought it cheap and was curious as to whether the motor is going to hold together. It had 20k on rebuild before it went in the boat. Sure seems like a lot more stress on motor in boat vs truck. Should I just run it till it dies and then go marine? Marine is about triple the cost. Why is that? Thanks.

Well from what I learned from my dad, a marine engine has different bearings and such to cope with the higher RPM's.
