I want to mount a Trumpet horn on my 15ft Starcraft closed Bow and was wondering is there a Certain spot it should be mounted ???

I was thinking of mounting it in the Center of the Bow...

center of bow, back far enough it will not interfere with an anchor line.

Re: Trumpet horn mounting ?

i like the horn to be mounted off to one side or the other. in case i feel like walking on my bow. which i do (like during docking). if ya got any spare holes in your bow, that could be a place to mount it if ya can live with the location.... i got lucky. i used an old cb antenna hole in my boat. horn is mounted just to the outside of the driver on the starboard side.... it's out of the way and looks good. least i think it does. + didn't need to drill more holes in my boat.......

Re: Trumpet horn mounting ?

I have one to mount on my bow. It will be mounted off to starboard just forward of the windshield. Mainly because it will replace a small horn (no longer working) in that same spot so I can take advantage of at least on existing hole and use the existing wiring. I do climb up on the bow as do the kids. Wouldn't want the horn to get trashed due to traffic.

Well my Horn was all the way to the bow just behind the stern light, I think I will fill those holes and drill some new ones in the center just in front of the windshield..
