so i got NO help in last post so here goes again.1988 cajun bassboat.18 1/2ft w/1988 mercury 150hp xr4 black max.small jackplate, stingray hydrofoil,laser11(two)SS 21p prop.diameter unknown(number on prop is 48-16546A45 21p).2 adults@220lbs. ea.,3 batteries,@15gal. gas,and normal bass gear.dry wt. of bboat is @1200lbs.at WOT,turning 6100rpms,gps speed 53mph.is a up in pitch recommended here to get rpms down.i believe i read window is around 5500rpms.dont quote me on that.6100 just seems a bit high to me,but again, you guys know more than i do.so please help.i dont care much about improving holeshot.i assume going up in pitch would help w/top end some.i guess i want to know if that speed is reasonable for the rpms im turning and what can i do to bring rpms down a little and at least keep or gain a little speed.thanks in advance.
