Hello again,
I just joined your forum today and this is my 2nd. post. I might be here a lot and thought I sould learn how to add picts. Tried it once and did something wrong, so I'll give it another shot.
I've had my 1984 LOWE Commando sence 1986 and have had around 20 tow vehicles. Sort of a car nut, I prefer something different that often draws the anger of some car purest but it towed a boat back then, it can tow one now.
Many of my vehicles have towed my boat to the 1000 Islands from Valley Forge, Pa.[approx 6-7 hrs] at least once and never had any issues.
I'll try to download my 1st tow car/with boat and my 2nd. See if I get it right this time. Maybe I submit thread first and add pict later?
Oh well, just having a little fun. Please show me your favorite tow vehicles.
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!
Karl.

I spent 20 summers in N. Minnesota and the canoe set up would even make them smile. Quite the rig.
I had a 1986 diesel Chevy 1500 as a tow vehicle. Allways started, ran great, decent fuel economy, but it was an exteneded cab and was a pain in the A** to maneuver but what a real nice truck!
See if I can post a few more of my tow vehicles. The black Monte Carlo was a real 1970 SS-454 if that means anything to someone[?]. I still have the 1967 black GTO but it is apart in storage and may never see the road again, the 1960 Plymouth Suburban is my current tow vehicle. It got 17+ MPG when I towed my boat to Canada last summer.
Oh well, those are my favorite tow vehicles. No boating now, I'm heading out to do some ice fishing.
I think this forum might be a great help come engine time.
later,
Karl.

Bondo - Both your rigs are canoe toters. :) And you have serious MBS issues, too. :D

The '67 Catalina served us well for over 27 years. That 400 cid V-8 did the trick. I don't have a pic of her with a boat attached. She went thru 3 paint jobs before the rust took over. Sadly we sold her to a kid as a restoration project.

The '80 Bonneville is our current towcar. She only has a 302 cid V-8, but she does well up to about 3500 pounds. Never saw Winter! Showroom condition inside and out. When I heard that the full frame GM V-8 was being discontinued, we "retired" her as a dedicated towcar.

Both were 1-owner cars. You couldn't get me to buy a pickemuptruck to save my life.....LOL.

Although very cool, it's a sedan delivery, not a Nomad........

You are correct sir... they just featured one on "Counting Cars". A guy had The Count aka Danny make one up all pink and white for his girlfriend and then the couple broke up so the girlfriend never got the car.

There you have it - The Two Tazes are in agreement (Me too). I'm surprised how long it took for for a correction.
