I am in the process fo trying to change my trim sender on my outboard. It would appear that the two screws holding the sender in place seem now to be unmovable. I have almost lost the thread in the head of the screws at this point. I have sprayed the screws in WD40 a number of times now to see if that will loosen the screws - but no success yet.

How do I remove the screws if I have lost the thred in the head of the screw itself. Any help would be much appreciated.

In Profile for murphczx he writes he has a "Mercury 75 elp" (no year mentioned). Could be he has other otboard(s) also...

Re: Trying to change my Trim sender.

My motor is a mercury 75 ELPTO. The sender is clearly visible but the heads on the screws holding it in place have seen better days.
