Trying to figure out which transom seal/bellows kit fits a Mercruiser 165/MC-1?

Is there a smooth bellows kit? I tried to look up the part number given me (Sierra 18-2752) and i'm gathering that that's just the main bellows. iBoats doesn't seem to have the kit (or, at least, they don't list that part with any of their kits). Or do I just need to put a kit together myself, or...?

what's the best option here?

Ya know I don't know of it's the right bellow or not. Been so long since I've done an old school one I don't recall the part number, or if it comes as a complete kit, with exhaust and shift bellows. I did look at google with your part number, but can't tell of the pic is right, but there is some links that claim they will fit, also I bet I-boats has something that would be correct.

Given the age of the unit I dont find a kit either, you will have to go piece by piece. If your planning on replacing the shift cable, that will come with its bellow. The new style 18-2603 will work.

So that's the part number for that main bellows.... and that's different. Is anything else different, or would it be worth it to just buy a normal mercruiser kit and then buy the special boot separately?

Or is there a kit that is known to be the same except for the boot?

I called this guy and he seems very honest and knowledgeable. He said the ridged bellow is best and the ridge needs to be installed behind the rivets. Also the flat spots.on the drive shaft bellow are to be clocked towards the water line hose and the shift cable boot NOT at 3 and 9 to prevent the water hose from pulling the boot towards the gimble ring ears and causing a tear (which is why I am having to replace mine). The new U-joints also have the grease zerts pointing to the side as opposed to straight forward making them much easier to service. I thought my u-joints were fine but when I pumped grease in them only one side took grease and the other, after working on them, oozed out smelly black sludge so to avoid having to open this thing up again because I wanted to save 30 dollars I am installing new u- joints. Hope this helps you.

The shift cable is the newest type so you will need a straight tap for that.Inquire to make sure the bellow does NOT have the ridge first before purchase.
