I'm looking at purchasing a bass boat and I found one that I'm interested in and NADA doesn't list the boat. It's a 1989 glasstream hydrabass bass boat.
I am not to familiar with these boats, I know to check the compression, transom, floor, steering ect. Anything else to check? The boat has an Evinrude 150 with a 4 blade ss prop , not sure of the pitch. I assume it's the same model as the boat (1989) I will find out Sunday. Does anyone know anything about these boats, The carpet and seats look in good shape from the pictures the guy sent me. He is asking $3000 for it which I think it's a little steep but hoping to do some wheeling and dealing with him since he needs some cash.

Looks like the 87 is going to be as closes as you can get.
3000, huh, for a 25' that is a great price for a 14' not so much in my book.
Id use the 87 info as a close reference.

NADA is ok for mass production boats with a broad history of resale. Not so good for limited production boats (low volume produced). Condition is key, not book value.

NADA values are by and large a joke, especially for the age boat you're talking about.

If that boat's in good condition, everything works on it, and the engine runs good $3000 sounds like a pretty good deal.

I got this from the Iboats manufacture page, This outboard bass boat is 16.83 feet long and weighs 800 (pounds dry). This weight does not account for passengers, fuel, or gear. The beam of this craft is 84 inches. The max horsepower for this boat on our records is 150 hp That seems awful light for 150?

The "dry" weight does not include the outboard, batteries, fuel or anything else....
