Hey guys, I recently bought a new to me motor and the PO had taken the prop off and kept it stored indoors. Needless to say he had lost the prop nut, spacer, and thrust washer.
When looking at the parts diagram for my 1984 johnson 70, I also see a part that is listed that is supposed to go on the back of the prop called a "converging ring". I understand this is to force the exhause gases out away from the prop.
Here is my question, my prop is an OMC 389510 and appears to have a large flair at the back of the prop, but no plastic ring. Do I need one of these rings, or does my prop have one built in?
Thanks in advance, I know next to nothing about props.
Will
