What is the serial number on it or the HIN number, take a picture of the ID plate that should be inside the boat by the controls.

No HIN number or serial number that I could find. I didn't get any paperwork with it at all. And there is no ID plate

Then that is going to be difficult to pinpoint the year, looks like a late 60's to early 70's model, depending on where you are located, you should be able to get the state to issue a new ID number for it, then you will have to put it on the boat.

I'm in Ontario Canada. Thanks for the info

I would contact the agency in charge of issuing boat titles, registrations and see what they recommend, they can't do a background on the boat if it has no numbers so see what their procedure is to getting it back to being able to use it. It is a good looking boat worth saving. I am not familiar with Canadian laws at all, so get a hold of them.

All I need to do is register it with the government. To get a hull number and I'm good to go

I'm gonna guess mid sixties.
Slider gas tank doors, white starcraft logo step pads, and that gull wing cleat on the front deck.

That windshield and base are not original.

Obviously the PO had it registered. Do Provincial governments not issue any paperwork when a boat has numbers assigned?

It sounds like you can make up a number and stick on the hull and it's a rubber stamp job.

In many cases the boat and motor were bought at the same time, take the ID number off the motor and track the year down, pretty sure the blue band Mercs were early 70's.

I would start with the registration number on the side of the boat. Contact your agency in charge of registration, see if they can look it up.
