Hi everyone,<br /><br />I have a 19 bowrider. V-hull. Last summer, I hit a rock (at a slow speed) and it caused a pretty good sized ding in the bottom/center of my boat. The ding is a few feet from the bow just after the V in the hull (if that makes sense). If you would look at it from the top of the boat, it would be in between the front bow seats.<br /><br />Anyway, my patching of the boat is more for stopping the water from leaking in (Im not going for perfection or looks). Ive done an ok job of slapping some fiberglass resin and cloth into it. But, it still takes on a little bit of water. I was hoping to patch it from the inside, but the area above it (between the bow seats) is fiberglass. So, Id have to cut a hole in the fiberglass to get to it (no other way to access it). I dont want to patch up the fiberglass where Id cut it. So, I was thinking of just installing a deck plate.
