Trying to ID a Scarab HIN...

Good day folks, first post here but a member on other boating forums.

I am looking at purchasing a 1997 Scarab and trying to id the HIN to confirm what I am getting, the boat is suppose to be an SCS, apparently not many of these made...? The HIN is WELDVA076G697

I know the WEL is Wellcraft and the last three digits are the build date, June 1997...anybody know what the rest means and is this an SCS...? Thanks for any input....

How would I go about doing that? I search Wellcraft and get dealers only.............

Are you saying if I contact Wellcraft directly with the HIN I will be able to id the boat? Thanks.
